A powerful quote by the legendary Dr. Maya Angelou reads, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Brittany “BNicki” Nicholson is a multimedia personality, digital content creator, influencer and it’s this quote that drives her in all she pursues.
Hailing from Chesterfield County, Virginia, Brittany learned at an early age she had a natural gift for connecting with others through entertainment. It began with acting in school plays, writing short stories and in high school, she served as the lead anchor for her high school news show. Seeing the positive impact the news show had on her high school and community, led Brittany to pursue and earn her Bachelor’s degree in mass communications: broadcast journalism, from Virginia Commonwealth University. It’s there Brittany discovered her true purpose and “BNicki” was born.
BNicki is an extension of Brittany Nicholson. It’s the creative side of her that’s obsessed with all things black entertainment and content creation. She’s your best friend, your home girl, the one you love to talk to. Under Brittany’s “BNicki” brand, she manages and stars in her own YouTube channel and website. She’s earned over 11,000 followers across YouTube, Twitter and Instagram. Through her infectious personality and hilarious sense of humor, she encourages Black millennials to “get into it” as she “spills tea” on a variety of topics within entertainment news and celebrity culture.
The late, great, Nipsey Hussle, said, “The highest human act is to inspire.” That’s one of Brittany’s ultimate goals. Through her work, she aims to promote positivity, laughter and light.
Brittany is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. When she’s not creating, Brittany loves catching up on her favorite shows, Insecure and Black Love Doc. You’ll also catch her reading, bumping Ari Lennox, Megan thee Stallion and spending time with her friends and family.
